Today some students from our Green Schools Committee along with Ms Tierney and Ms Fahy attended a ceremony in Kilkenny to receive our Green Schools Flag award for Global Citizenship and Litter & Waste.
It was a lovely day for all involved and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of our pupils, staff and wider school community in promoting environmental awareness and positive action within our school.
The Blue Classroom had lots of fun last week learning all about butterflies! 🦋
Today we held a test for the paper planes which successful flew carrying weight (lego figure =3g).
Fair test: We had 3 test pilots who threw each plane in the same way, the designers of each plane also did a test flight. We carefully measured and recorded the distance each for test flight.
Results: We found that large wings helped the planes to glide and reach the furthest distance.
