Green Classroom Update, 6th March

Engineers Week in 5th and 6th Class

During Engineers Week, 5th and 6th class took part in a range of fun engineering activities. Using recycled materials such as cardboard, plastic bottles and string, pupils worked in groups to design and build bridges, towers and ziplines. These challenges encouraged creativity, teamwork and problem-solving as pupils tested which designs were the strongest and most stable.

Each day we also tuned into an online webinar where we heard from real engineers about the different types of engineering jobs they do. Pupils learned about the many careers in engineering and the skills needed to become an engineer.

It was a fun and inspiring week that helped pupils think like engineers while using their imagination and teamwork skills.
