Today we celebrated St. Brigid's Day in the Orange Classroom by joining a live webinar run by Wexford Eduction Centre.
First, we attended a story-telling event with best-selling children's author Caroline Busher. Caroline told us all about the folklore and traditions of our ancestors as they marked the beginning of spring and celebrated St. Brigid's Day on the 1st of February each year.
Then, artist Sarah Bowie showed us how to make our very own St. Brigid's Day crosses. We really enjoyed this and we decorated them afterwards.
