In History, we explored how life has changed from our parents’ and grandparents’ time to today,
comparing school life, technology and uniforms. In Geography, we learned about Ireland and the
USA, and one of our pupils was able to share their own knowledge of America to help us with our
research.
Science has been full of discovery as we explored the human skeleton and learned how our bones,
joints and muscles work together to help us move and stay healthy.
We even made our own joint models! In Maths, we have been putting on our Maths Eyes, looking for maths in the world around us and creating our own Maths Eyes posters.
We have also been busy putting lots of thought, imagination and creativity into our entries for the
Credit Union Art Competition.
There has been plenty of excitement on the sporting front, too! Our U11 boys have made it to the
county final, while our U11 girls enjoyed taking part in a blitz. We have also had lots of great days
out and wonderful experiences together.
October brought a very special addition to our classroom as we welcomed Ms. Dowling, our student
teacher. She shared lots of fun lessons and engaging project work with us, and we would like to thank
her warmly for all her hard work and for making our learning so enjoyable.
As we head into the Halloween break, we have been getting into the spooky spirit with a visit from
a storyteller, and we are looking forward to our Halloween disco and activities on Friday.
Well done to everyone in 3rd and 4th Class for all their hard work, enthusiasm and fantastic
efforts so far this year. We have lots to be proud of and look forward to more learning and adventures
after the break! 🍁
