Green-Schools UpdateπŸ’šπŸ’§πŸ’¦

We are only a few months away from hopefully renewing our Green Flag. The Green -Schools committee are busy preparing for our renewal visit next month.

We are encouraging the school community to be more conscious of conserving water by not letting the taps run , using half flush button on toilets when possible, gathering rainwater in the garden, taking a shower instead of a bath, turn the taps off when brushing your teeth and reusing water in art class.

Classes have also been busy covering many water lessons like the water cycle, floating and sinking,  testing waterproof materials, marine environment and uses of water.

Don't forget our Green Code

World Water Day!πŸ’§πŸŒŽ

For World Water Day we talked about how oil doesn’t mix with water as it is less dense, and realized to our dismay we couldn’t wash it off our hands with just water alone! We then learned about the surface tension in water by blowing bubbles!
